Feelings
I have learned not to write things in a fit of anger.
So…
I have nothing to write.
A 30-something's rants and raves...
I wanted very much to be a part of Mr Brown's little meme, call the One Singapore Minute.
You can find out more about how he started it here.
Time is running out.
The little (although must have grown quite huge by now) meme ends on the 31st August 2005, 2359 hours.
Wah! Sounds like book-in time hor?
Anyway, in true singaporean fashion, I got myself some photos at the very last minute.
Actually, not so last minute lah, still got a few days to go.
But the camera is such a prohibited thingy (we are not allowed to bring it anyway we like, especially to work),
I only get to have some fun with it on weekends.
Hence, the shots are taken in a restuarant, when I was having dinner.
You can see the rest of the photo set here.
I hope Mr Brown wouldn't notice,
Because I took all the shots in slightly more than one minute.
(I took a minute and a half, to be exact.)
Imagine have to focus my lousy camera lens in that sort of restuarant lighting.
Light enough to see what you are eating, but not enough for you to see all the oil in it.
I decided to take these photos for the Singapore theme because
1. Singapore is a food paradise.
2. Singaporeans love to eat.
3. It's my dad's favourite restuarant, and he is a native singaporean.
4. I take better photos sitting down, nothing to do, while waiting for my food.
As Mr Miyagi explains in his article published in TODAY (August 10, 2005),
"There's this thing in the online community called a 'meme', where a blogger starts a certain behaviour on his or her blog, and gets everyone else to imitate it."
You can read the rest of his article here.
Faster, faster, still got a few days to go only!
That when the mechanical chassis didn't arrive on time, it is everybody's business,
When the strong winds blow,
More time at work = tired.
Today is a special day.
Scanned from 'Artcards'.
I was so happy.
I got THE postcard!
Ok, what is the big deal about getting this postcard, right?
It is just advertisement for a movie.
Well, I love the movie...
More correctly, I love the car in the movie...
HERBIE! It is a VW Beetle, you know...
I remember when I was a little girl,
I watched the movie, "Herbie goes bananas."
It was hilarious. I want the VCD~~!!!
Come along, join the song with merry singing
I hate Mondays!
Saturday was spent collecting more presents from my friends.
"No entry until I check you out properly."
Dad was marvelling at the sheer size of that doggie.
It was huge!
The lady in pink is the proud owner. She assures us that Doggie doesn't bite...
Okay, I like dogs, I do, really, but I don't want to take the chance.
What if Doggie decides not to like me?
I was so awed by the whole thing that I didn't catch the name of the auntie, or the doggie, or the building...
Next time if you happened to be in that area,
(I was walking up from Somerset Road to River Valley Road.)
Look out for them, ok?

Author's note: Sorry this entry took so long...
Anyhow, our 'target' was sizzler, but it was full,
And Gwen, Su Peng and myself had to queue to get a table.
After listening to our poor stomachs,
(It was growling all the time, haha!)
We changed plans and try Kuali, another buffet.
Look at this disgusting plate of desserts.
My pudding melt already!!
The plate is just too hot, but I cleaned the plate all the same.
My colleagues are a bunch of beautifully kind people,
And they love me soooo much!
A signed birthday card.
Notice the angel and forever friends bear?
Drawn lovingly by Kim Tong and Eunice respectively.
$100 Taka Vouchers as a birthday gift.
I had already promise to get 9 inch skirts...
*Gulp!

You are getting old when the only thing you don't want for your birthday is to be reminded of it.
