I am grieving

I didn't mean to kill you.
As I was walking along, I didn't see you there,
Thus causing your life.
I am so sorry.

After I have performed the deed,
I just took off,
Not even bothering to check if you are ok.
I guess I was scared.
I have never killed anyone before.
I am so sorry, I am.

If there is anything I could do for you...

You, helpless tiny little snail,
I didn't mean to step on you!!!

To buy or not to buy

That's the question.
I should probably wait till Xmas.
Maybe Mr Gates decides to play Santa this year.

Daddy loves me a lot.
He bought me another laptop backpack.
Branded one, ok?!! At a low discounted price.
Three laptop bags within one week. Hehehe...

Fashist ask me, "You have one laptop, why do you need 3 bags?"
Mmm... I dunno lei. Maybe get another laptop??

New clothes for Bao Bei

Overheard in a crowded restuarant:
Girl: Daddy, 我要吃 icecream.
Dad: 不可以,要先吃饭,才吃 icecream.
Girl: Daddy, 我要吃饭。

Went to Takashimaya yesterday.
Travel fair, lots on luggage, backpacks, tiny bags, huge bags on sale.
I saw a picture of a laptop backpack in the newspapers advert, selling for $39.
So I went.

Well, it was a classic case of "I come, I see, I conquer!"
For me, it was more like "I see, I check, I buy!"
Plus, I get to spend some of the vouchers I got for my birthday.
How sweet can that get? I still have vouchers left over for my 9 inch skirt.
Wahahahaha!!

Anyway, back to the bag. Here's a pic.

I chose a blue one, all the other colours are too dull.
Shades of black, grey, dark blue, maroon... Ok, no green. Heh~~
Neh-mind. I like this blue one also.
H*ll, I just can't stop smiling...

It comes with detachable laptop padded case, so if I wasn't lugging the laptop inside the backpack,
I can remove the padding, and it will function as a normal backpack.
It even comes with a mini raincoat for the backpack!!
Call me SuaKu, but I didn't know till I went home and closely examine the wonderful backpack!!
Sweet~~! I like, I like. Some other backpacks I saw doesn't come with detachable paddings, or a self-provide raincoat.

I have already made up my mind about the backpack, then I saw something else.

Only $18!! So I whipped out my measuring tape.
Wah! Look real pro, ok! Kekekeke~~
Actually it was just a paper ikea tape, where I had marked all my Bao Bei's measurements.
The bag comes in 2 sizes, M and L, and the L size fits my Bao Bei like a glove.
So now I can use this bag as it is, or get a normal backpack, and shove the whole thing inside.
Two-for-one, or is it one-for-two?
Aiya!! Neh-mind lah, I happy can already, right?
No green, so I picked a red one.

Still can't stop smiling.
Dad was teasing me about going to sleep with my newly-aquired possessions.
Siow eh?? Of course not!
I won't want to wrinkle them, right??!?

Chang Ee and who??

Fashist corrected me on my previous blog entry about Chang Ee and Niu Lang.
It turns out that Chang Ee is actually with (Who?? I dun even recognise the word. That's how good my chinese is. Pardon me.)
And Zhi Nu is the one with Niu Lang.
So, who was the lady on the moon? Chang Ee or Zhi Nu?
Are they both the same person? I am so confused.

It is so much better with English fairytales.

Snow White and the prince.

Cinderella and the prince.

Sleeping Beauty and... yeah, (*Yawn) the prince.

See, so simple, they are all simply "the prince".
"The prince" dun even have a name, as far as I can remember.
Or is it because it was "long long ago" and "far far away" that people forgot?
Neh-mind, I will improve on my chinese heritage / culture / fairytales / whatever.

Chang Ee and Niu Lang

Just finished watching the live S-league game on CNA.
I used to love soccer, now I just watch whatever they broadcast on free TV.
One major reason is that I just want uninterrupted, ads-free action for 45 mins.
Haha, which other programme actually does that?

Saw one of my driving instructors today.
I was taking a taxi back from lunch and this SSDC car stopped behind us.
Then I saw the driver pointing his finger at me. (Not middle finger, ok!!?!)
I stared, and realised he was one of my instructors.
So I walked over, and he wound down the passenger's window.

"How are you? Passed already?" He asked.

"Good. Passed already..." I replied.

"So, driving now?"

"No lah, I take taxi, so where got drive?" I shot back, pointing at the taxi in front.

We smiled, and he prepared to move off, but not before I saluted him.
Heehee... Somehow, I feel warm and happy to have meet him again.
It kinda reminds me of my driving lesson days.
Being a learner student is so carefree,
As we are allowed to make stupid mistakes,
"In order to make us remember better" as one of my instructors told me,
Mistakes made using one's car would prove to be costly and painful.

The whole office reeked of durian in the afternoon.
Thanks to the complimentary durian snowskin mooncakes, paid by the boss and a fellow colleague.
Yummy, except, everybody ended up with really "bad" breath after that.
Neh~~ Who cares?

My dad is a sucker for durian, so Eunice got him 2 durian snowskin mooncakes.
Thank you, Eunice!!
So Dad has his first taste of snowskin.
"Mmm, quite tasteless on its own, hor?" he said, referring to the snowskin.
"Wah, the D24 durian very nice, blurp also got smell."
Anyway, both of us still prefer baked mooncakes.
Dun ask why, we just prefer, ok?

中秋节(Mid-autumn festival) is around the corner.
In 2 days to be exact.
Wonder if this Chang Ee can meet her Niu Lang?
Maybe I should go to Chinatown and pretend to look at the lanterns, solve riddles and admire the moon.
Then again, where got "Niu Lang" to see in Chinatown??!?
Neh-mind, love and fate is a wonderful thing, at least I still believe.
Perferably "Niu Lang" comes with a shiny metal horse with 4 wheels. Wahahahahaha~~!!!
中秋节快乐!

What has this world become?

Do you know...
That Cinderella Man is a movie about boxing?
Aiyoh! Why has fairy tales suddenly become so violent?

I bought The New Paper on Saturday afternoon.
I had to ask the cashier manning the register in 7-eleven, how much the papers cost.
Hey, not that I do not read the papers, but I just do not buy extra papers like the new paper.

"70 cents," came the reply.

"I am sorry, I seldom buy this paper, if not because of the murder case..." I mumbled.

"Ya lor, the papers are selling hot because of it, I heard it is a chinese woman again," the cashier said.

I smiled, paid for the papers and went home. Now to rewind a bit.

Friday afternoon. I was on leave.
I didn't hear anything till I reached home and switched on the TV news.
There it was, a body parts murder case.
"Oh no! Another one?" was my first reaction.
The head and limbs were found on the busy street of Orchard Road.
The torso was found near Lornie Road.

Ok, I am a biology student. I also watched CSI and detective serials.
But those are NOT real. This is.
A living thing. A healthy 26-year-old woman. Now in 6 parts. Eewww...
And people can still stand around under the hot sun, licking ice-cream, like watching real-life CSI Singapore.

Of course, now that we know that the deceased was a Filipino, and the suspect is also a Filipino.
But what is the motive?
Some say it's because of money.
If not, because of boyfriend.
Har? Tot the both of them are married with kids?
Oh neh-mind.
Actually, I also quite kay-poh, else I wouldn't have bought the afternoon paper.

Either the world is getting worse, or the news are getting better.

Bloggers' Block

I have not been updating as much as I wanted to.
Too busy, too lazy, whatever...
Or I have the bloggers' block, (as to writers' block)
When I wanted to write something, I can't find the words.

Maybe it's stress. Maybe not.
This time of the year is always deliveries, deliveries, and more deliveries.
(Not babies, hor... I am not running a nursery.)
Work. That's something that will never get done.

Okay, not going to whine about work anymore.
Leave that for my colleagues.
They are a bunch of really nice people, you know?
Motherly types, fatherly types, sisterly types, 'siow' types, 'can-talk-rubbish-with-you' types
Wahahahahaha~~~!!

This world is marvellous.
Made up of all different types of people...
White, yellow, black, brown, going by skin colours,
And if you sub-divide those, you would probably get
Cyan, purple, red, green, orange, pink, teal...etc.
So many skin colours.
Just look at those bennetton ads.
"Some man are more equal than others."
Well, I kinda agree with that.
Haiz, can't be bothered to explain. Neh-mind.
