Freebies and women

Was down in Orchard Road earlier today,
In front of Wisma Atrium,
Queueing for a free bag in exchange for a coupon found in Female Mag.
I was lucky, I think...
I queued for only about 25 mins,
When I got my bag,
I was especially happy, because as I was walking away with my "prize",
I got envious looks from the women who are still in the queue.... hahahaha!!!
The bag comes with samples of bath foam and a full size night cream,
I think.... Who cares?? As long as it is free....
And no, I do not feel "cheapskate"...
But I will tell you what cheapskate is.

I saw a woman who is in her late fifties, I think.
She was well-dressed, nice silk blouse and dark trousers.
She slowly approached the booth staff and asked about the freebies being handed out.
I saw she has a coupon in her hand.
After that, I think she ask for the freebie, to which the staff politely asked her to join the queue like everybody else.
Think she immediate got fustrated and waved at the staff, after which she made a really fast exit (as compared to her entrance!)
Anyway, I got my "prize"...
Happy liao... Am thinking what to have for dinner tonight?
Steaks or pork ribs, or maybe Char Kuey Tiao??
I dunno, cant decide...

Women, a special species...

New Instructor

Got a new instructor for my driving lesson today.
Chinese, early 30s, slim, no glasses, quite nice-looking.
(He also had a little stubble on his chin...)
First thing he said when he got in the car was,
"Hello~~! Good morning, taken your breakfast?"
At first I was quite disappointed it was not my tall, dark and handsome instructor.
So I mumbled some reply like, "Yeah, I think so...?!?"
And he goes, "Good, so got strength to drive, right?"

It was drizzling the whole morning, so he asked me whether I know how to turn on the wipers.
I laughed quite loudly, remember an incident in the classroom... (Long story)
He is nice, a little bit of "Ah Beng" type.
"Why you hog 2 lanes? I konw you pay road tax, doesn't mean you can take 2 lanes at once!"
"See the taxi in front? You have 2 choices, bang his backside, and filter out. You choose!"
I haven't had so much fun since the lessons with my tall dark and handsome instructor...
I think he will be my not-so-tall, fair and quite handsome instructor, Hahahaha!!
I am still having trouble with my clutch, and the car will do clik-a-clok, clik-a-clok, clik-a-clok.... everytime I change gears...

Sigh! Set a personal target today, but did not fulfil it.
---> My engine stalled 4 times~~~ :-P

Horoscope?!?

My Horoscope today:
"Fear fades away in moments of joy."
Eh? What? Is the first thing that comes to mind.
Fear? Nooo… Stress is more like it.
So stressed that I am eating meat and chocolates everyday.
And all the food seems to go nowhere.
I am like a baby, I get hungry every four hours!!?!
Ok, make that three and a half hour…
Of course, I dun need to be fed, I can feed myself, thank you.

Yesterday I was in a certain pharmacy, browsing.
A promoter approached me; she seems quite helpful,
So I asked her questions on a beauty product I have been eyeing.
After that I decided not to buy.
She offered: "You have oily skin, can I recommend a cleanser?"
I mumbled some reply to decline, and started to leave.
"How about slimming pills?"
She asked as I was leaving.
I froze for a moment.
Am I that FAT?
Gosh! I feel so sad….
Maybe I should turn at her and ask sweetly, "Does it kill?
Because, you are better off killing me, saying I am fat!"
But I just walked out of the shop, PRETENDING nothing happened.

Driving lesson today.
Got a new instructor, but not handsome one.
But he is very nice.
I am still very bad with my moving off;
And he has to bear with the car going
Clik-a-clok, clik-a-clok, clik-a-clok....
(Not enough acceleration, clutch release not enough...)
Anyway, he is nice abt it, correcting my mistakes as I go along.
He is sooo much better than the fat instructor I had.
Heehee....
Hope to see more of him soon...

Had dinner with a friend the other day.
Haven't seen her for almost 3 months?
Gosh! She has grown soooo..... thin!!
I mean, she is not really fat to start with (In fact, she is really slim already.)
Now she is really skinny!
We all blamed it on stress...
Stress from work, bf, relatives, parents...
Bags, shoes, blouses, skirts, underwear... (heehee!)
Everything under the sun.

What happens when a person can't cope with stress?
I dunno... I have never been there...
I think, I don't even want to be in that position.
Normally, I will take lots of chocolates,
Chocolates have a calming effect on me...
Then I get to grow really fat!
So I will stop eating, and get really stressed again!

A colleague said there is a chocolate buffet Somewhere in town.
I wanna go! I wanna go!
Just go there and stuff myself silly with all the chocolate... Wahahaha!!

Joke of the day

I was having my driving lesson with my favourite instructor yesterday.
I like him best because he was tall, dark and handsome,
(Wahahaha!) and more importantly, he bothered to remember my name!
Towards the end of the lesson, I was feeling a bit frustrated...
Due to the fact that I still couldn't get some of the manoeuvres right.
"I wanna cry already!" I exclaimed.
"Fiona," he said in a soft voice.
"Don't cry... Want to cry, go home and cry. Cry here people will see,"
He said with a smile.
We cracked up after this.
I was really happy when I get to drive under his tutorship.
He can really make me relax and drive properly...
In contrast, there is another instructor I don't like at all.
Whenever I got him for my lessons, I can never get anything right!
Geez... We just don't click.
So before every lesson, I have to pray very hard not to "kana" him.
Hahahahaha!!!
Well, gotta get used to it anyway.

In life, we often do not get to meet only people we like, and still have to talk, work, play with them.

Thought mid-autumn festival is over 6 days ago??
Maybe the kids just do not want to waste all the left over candles....

Have a temp helping me, he supposed to do some testing of computer.
He lost a cable, and said I took it for safe-keeping.
Why would I want the cable for??
Feel so "accused"....
Must look for Justice Bao!
He will "open the case" and find out who actually "stole" the cable.
Dun let me find out that actually he kept it so safely that it could not be found!
