The aircraft is powered by 4 Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine. (Wow!)

Designed to accommodate 555 seats in a three-class configuration. (Wonder how's the leg room in Economy Class?)

But Singapore Airlines A380 will seat less than 480 passengers in the same layout... (Phew! Tot I will have to cut off my legs if I travel Economy...)

Can't wait to experience the flight in the Airbus~~~!

Asian Aerospace Show

I have the privilege of attending the Asian Aerospace this year.
Today. Hot and humid. Sticky.

However, the active flying display makes up for it.
They have all sorts of fighter and trainer planes,
But the Airbus A380 (painted in SIA colours) takes the cake.
There are ooohs and ahhhs when the spectators caught sight of the plane in the air.
Singapore’s pride and joy.

Back in the exhibition hall, the posters for the A380 are flying off the counter like hot cakes.
I managed to “catch” one… Heehee…
It will probably end up as drawer lining…
But… Shiok eh!

Today being the first day of the exhibition,
The halls are sooo crowded.
There are also lots of XX star generals,
(I dunno, I can’t really read the ranks off the shoulders.)
Security is really tight.
Everybody are standing in line, waiting for checks before entering the premises.

Not that I am against security, but is there another way to make the line move a little bit faster??

Scrapbooking

Anyone who is a serious hobbyist will know about scrapbooking.
Scrapbooking is some sort of album making.
You insert photos, e.g. baby, pet, travels, etc.
And then make it attractive by adding text, colourful motifs…

Yup, and I am a sucker for all kinds of crafts…

Scrapbooking is the rage now too in Singapore,
(I heard it is the rage in the US.)
Anyhow, I did try to scrapbook some time back,
But soon run out of subjects.

So this time, I will try to put together my photos taken on my Israel visit,
Into a scrapbook.
Gosh~~! Wish me luck!

P.S. As I am blogging this, I am trying to download some scrapbook templates from the internet. Can you believe the size of those pesky files? ~10Mb!!

Food Poisoning??!?

I puked and puked on Thursday…
And went to the toilet at least every half hour…
Had no breakfast, lunch or dinner for 2 days.

I didn’t see the doctor. Gung-ho, eh?
Not really, just had no time.
Actually, not quite true, just tired,
Too lazy to see a company-certified doctor so far away.

Anyway, I am ok now, thank you very much.
Well, nothing a good night’s sleep can’t fix.
Heehee, ya-ya-papaya!!
Although my tummy is still kinda acting funny now…
Probably due to too much wind.
I don’t know…

Last week was hectic.
I have been running around the place.
Up, down and sideways.
Haiz~~! I missed office work, sitting behind the desk, in front of the computer.
If it’s the other way around, I‘d miss site work, eh?
I am sooo difficult to please. Hehehe!

Think I should stay home and rest for the weekend.
Because next week will be another crazy week.
Haiz~~! Why my salary so difficult to earn?? (Hokkien)

Being overseas

Actually I wanted to bitch about some overseas airport I have been to recently,
But, … I changed my mind.
Geez, I must be getting soft.
Let bygones be bygones.
See, I am a happier person already.

They say being overseas open your horizons.
Well, they are right.
I think I “graduated” from being a frog in a well,
To a more “street-smart” person.
I really think so.
Every country I visited has its own flavours,
The sights, sounds and smells are so different.
Not forgetting the weather…
You will not appreciate the humidity in Singapore
When you have not visited “dry” countries.

Israel is really dry.
My nose bleed, everytime I try to “clean” it out.
Ouch! It is very difficult to breathe with ”solids” blocking the hole, ok?
15 deg C, I can tahan,
But 15 deg C with winds… That’s another story.
I had the jacket zipped right up to my nose.
And my cheeks felt so frozen, I can’t even smile properly…

I really had a nice trip, and my companions are really nice people.
And I dun really mind going there again, bombs or not!

Beads from Israel

There! I finally got down to doing some scanning.
Here are some of the beads and findings I got from Israel.
Quite unique, eh?
Well, other beads are similar to those found in Spore, but much more expensive.
So I picked those that I have not seen before…
I have no idea what to do with them yet. Maybe necklaces, bracelets, pendants…
Maybe.
